Strength, Stability, and Security Through Shelter
Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County, NC (HFHLC) is a leader in developing decent and affordable housing for low to moderate income families in Lincoln County. The faces of “low-to-moderate income families” are hardworking folks we encounter daily. People who serve us coffee at our favorite restaurant, first responders who mitigate our emergencies, and those who teach and care for our children and grandchildren.
Given the alarming number of families being evicted out of their homes, the high cost of substandard and dilapidated rentals, rental overcrowding, and rising rents laced with stagnating incomes, Lincoln County, like many rural counties, is in a housing affordability crisis. Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County’s (HFHLC’s) business model produces decent and affordable homes to Lincoln County families and their children. Our approach is a measured and wealth-building alternative to building large-scale rental projects. Our expressed mission is to provide strength, stability, and security through shelter….one family and one home at a time.
Reflecting back on a recent Habitat closing, we know the dream of homeownership for this Lincoln County family is only a reality because of our volunteers, donors and corporate sponsors. Help us reach more deserving families by volunteering and donating TODAY by visiting our website, www.habitatlcnc.org or calling Kris J. Fountain, HFHLC’s Director of Resource Development, directly at (704)701-3251.
