Our Affiliate Has Been Awarded to Host 3 AmeriCorps Members for the 2018-2019 Program Year!

This will the third year that our affiliate have participated in the AmeriCorps program. AmeriCorps engages more than 75,000 Americans in intensive service each year at nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country.

Since the program’s founding in 1994, more than 900,000 AmeriCorps members have contributed more than 1.2 billion hours in service across America which tracking pressing problems and mobilizing millions of volunteers for the organizations they serve. This prestigious award will allow us to serve more families in Lincoln County which bring people to our community to learn about Habitat for Humanity, gain valuable work skills, earn money for future education and develop an appreciation for the mission of Habitat. The three positions are a volunteer services coordinator and two construction crew leader positions. The AmeriCorps program will start in August/September timeframe of this year.
