habitat readers
HFHLC implemented an elementary reading program called Habitat Readers. In 2015, we had storytellers in two (2) elementary schools and covered topics such as dirty water, natural disasters and sub-standard housing.
Since its inception, the program has grown, adding new volunteers and schools. We have been blessed to have both community and student volunteers join us as storytellers.
To date, our storytellers have read and done activities with over 2,300 students and each student can tell you what we believe - Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County believes that every one deserves to have a safe place to call home!
