Home and Garden Show to raise money for Habitat for Humanity

DENVER – East Lincoln High School’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity will have its first home and garden show on Saturday, April 29.

It is also part of a project by East Lincoln senior Kat Vanderbilt, a member of Girl Scout Troop 20235, to help her earn her Girl Scout Gold Award. This is the chapter’s first year at the school, and Vanderbilt has worked as the group’s fundraising chair.

Gone But Not Forgotten: Rest in Peace Mary Gibbs

On March 25, 2017, our dearest Lincolnton ReStore manager, Mary Gibbs suddenly passed while visiting with family in Tennessee. Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of such an important person to Habitat and Lincoln County. Mary was an inspiration to us all and a wonderful example of what Christianity is all about.... L O V E! We all have shared many smiles, laughter, tears and memories with Mary and will cherish them until we meet again.

Habitat For Humanity Now Taking Applications

LINCOLNTON, N.C.––Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County is making a big difference for local folks.

According to its homeowner services co-ordinator, Alex Scarborough, in the 25 years since the local branch of the international Habitat for Humanity organization was formed in Lincoln County, some 38 homes have sprung up to give a leg up to families.

Celebrating Phil Burford

Phil BurfordIt is with a heavy heart that we share with you that Philip Burford, one of our employees at the Lincolnton ReStore, passed away recently, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his brother, his mom, her pastor and his wife. Phil had been with Habitat since March of 2014, our second longest tenured employee.
