Looking for a meaningful volunteer experience? With Habitat you can learn new skills, impact a family forever, and give back to your community.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County. We rely heavily on volunteers to support our mission – to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Fill out our volunteer interest form below to contact our volunteer coordinator for more information on how you can become involved.
Come join us on the job site! You will work with our skilled construction staff to learn new skills and help provide deserving families in our community with a decent place to live.
No experience is necessary, just a desire to help and to learn something new. Please wear work appropriate clothes – dress weather appropriately and wear closed-toe shoes. You may bring your own tools if you’d like, but Habitat will provide everything you’ll need for the day. Habitat volunteers perform a wide variety of critical tasks, including framing, roofing, floors, and installing cabinets, doors, and windows. Click here to learn more about construction volunteering!
Please note: You must be 14+ to volunteer for painting and landscaping only. All other construction volunteers must be 16+.
Don’t feel comfortable with tools? That’s okay! We have a need for people of all different skill sets in our Habitat office from answering phones to helping with family services. Come check out our new offices in downtown Lincolnton and be a part of the behind the scene work.
We have two ReStores, one in Denver and one in Lincolnton that support our mission. Our ReStores are open Tuesday- Saturdays from 9am-5pm. You never know what may come through our ReStores! You may help maintain the store, interact with customers, and help with receiving donations. See ReStore page for more information on how to volunteer at our Denver and/or Lincolnton ReStore locations.
For families to succeed, sometimes the dynamics of their neighborhood have to change. Neighborhood Revitalization is Habitat for Humanity’s holistic approach that expands upon its partnership with volunteers and new homeowners to also include neighbors and local organizations for an increased impact. While new home construction continues to play a vital role in Habitat’s work, additional tools include house repairs and other services that allow Habitat to serve even more families in communities. Through this effort, neighborhoods across the United States are revitalized into vibrant, safe and inviting places to live for current and future residents. We are currently revitalizing the Oaklawn neighborhood of Lincolnton and volunteers will be needed for future projects, events, & surveying.
