Terry has 20 years of experience with Habitat for Humanity, including 20 Global Village Trips to Guatemala. Terry began as a volunteer in 1996, then was hired as ReStore Manager (General Store back then) in 2000, and was promoted to Executive Director in Feb. 2002. Terry oversees the daily operations at Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County and may be called on to answer questions and facilitate staff and Board communications.

Patrick graduated with a degree in Community & Regional Planning and Geography from Appalachian State University. Patrick spent 3 years working as a Town Planner in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Patrick volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in 2014. Patrick schedules all the volunteer activities on home builds and works with homeowners on scheduling larger groups. Patrick is also over our Community Development program in Oaklawn.
Homeowner Services Coordinator

Alex graduated with a degree in Human and Community Services with a minor in Psychology from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Alex experienced 3 years as a Social Worker with the government where she gained experience working with the general public and building relationships with families. Alex is the first point of contact for a family beginning the application process. Alex oversees the Homeowner Programs and helps guide approved and pending families through the entire process.
Dave has over 25 years as an independent contractor. Dave began as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in 2009. Dave manages and directs all aspects of construction operations including people, functions, and teams responsible for completing production and program requirements involving construction warranty and special projects.
Mary Gibbs - In Memoriam
Lincolnton ReStore Manager
Mary has over 6 years of experience as a Habitat for Humanity ReStore Manager. Mary began as a volunteer in 2003 and was quickly hired on as an Assistant Manager and was then promoted in 2010 as the Manager. Mary is in charge of all aspects of the ReStore. This includes coordinating all of the volunteer activities at the ReStore, including Sweat Equity with future homeowners.
Denver ReStore Manager
Donna came on board with Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County in January of 2015. As Assistant Manager, along with Manager Mary Gibbs, Donna helped renovate the old CVS store over a four month period into the new Denver Restore. In September of 2016, when Mary Gibbs left to open the new Lincolnton ReStore, Donna became the Denver store Manager. Donna's past experience as a business owner has helped her in leading an amazing team of ReStore staff and volunteers as well as developing a network of generous Lincoln County residents whose donations are essential to the success of the ReStore. Above all, she finds contentment and satisfaction in knowing that the fruits of the hard labor involved in running a ReStore provide hope to families while spreading God’s Love.
Product Procurement Specialist
Energetic, community-minded person serving The Lord in Lincoln County area for over ten years, Angela Rankin Lovelace. Active in Denver Area Business Association as Board Member, Lincoln County Chamber as Ambassador, Retail Development Committee for Lincoln County, and Lincoln County Home Builders. Serving Habitat for Humanity in providing homes to those in need for over twenty years as a volunteer and staff member. Angela is active in marketing, development, product procurement and ReStore operations, if you need it ask Angela. She is the "go to" woman.
AmeriCorps Volunteer Coordinator
Kelly has been with our affiliate for the past 8 months. She is our Volunteer Coordinator and came to us from the national AmeriCorps program. Kelly attended Appalachian State University where she volunteered heavily as a member of the Service and Leadership Residential Learning Community. She has 10 years of volunteer experience and previously volunteered in Lincoln County with Habitat for Humanity and served on the United Way teen board. Her role is recruiting and managing volunteers both in our ReStores and on our construction site as well as advancing our partnerships with youth and youth groups, churches, businesses, and other civic groups.
Martin, a native of Nicaragua, came to Habitat in November of 2016. Martin has over 10 years experience in team leadership. As our Construction Assistant, he is responsible for providing our Construction department with added skills. He completes all task and preparation for the site work daily and assist in volunteer leadership and safety.
Project Development Coordinator
Originally from Lincoln County, Megan graduated from Appalachian State University in May of 2017 with a bachelors of science in Sociology and Women’s Studies. Her previous internship with a community action office in Boone, North Carolina focused primarily on research, project development and community engagement. This fall, Megan will be joining the habitat team as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member. As project development coordinator, Megan will work to further develop Habitat Readers, Neighborhood Revitalization, and Campus Chapters.
